This week has been madness so I’m slackin’ a bit on the blogging. I’m finishing up with a my last week of the January-February mentoring course so there’s lots to wrap up. I just bought an idea notebook (I like to have a notebook to jot ideas in–it’s kinda like my brain on paper) with this cover. Totally made me giggle! This is what I tell my husband all the time: ” You either get happy kids or a clean house…not both!” Actually, he doesn’t even care if the house is clean or not (well, he CARES but he doesn’t nag me about it when it’s not) which I’m grateful for. It’s just my own self that makes me feel the need ( or is it guilt??) to keep it clean all the time. Guess that’s a good thing though.
My husband and I just celebrated our TEN year anniversary and I’m happy to say that we still got it! When I was dating Matt, he was everything I ever wanted in a guy (believe me, I had a LONG list of qualifications). I couldn’t find anything wrong with him! He is just so perfect for me and I am so very blessed to have found him. I wanted to share a poem that I wrote when we were dating. It’s about all the guys I had dated in the past (I admit, I was a little boy crazy) and then he came along…

I was once like a little girl in the candy store
always wanting just one more.
Boy, did I have an appetite!
I sampled everything in sight.
One was not enough for me.
I wanted quantity, not quality.
As time flew by, my hands got sticky
and I decided to be objectively picky.
I spit out the ones that were really gross
and got a tummy ache from overdose.
Then you came along and I couldn’t resist–
your luscious, sweetness must be kissed.
So I broke my piggybank of love and spent it all on you.

So now I need your help. I have always wanted to enlarge one of my wedding photos. I am going to make one of these a large canvas. Which one do you like best? I can’t decide!

Well, we’re back from our fun getaway. I took some newborn pics of my new neice so I’ll be showing those this week but I gotta get caught up on everything–aaaa! It was SO worth it and great to have some alone time with my honey. Apparently my kids had a blast too while at Grandma’s house because the first thing my daughter (aka Miss Sassypants) said when she saw me was, “The fun’s over.” Amen sister.
P.S. I really did miss my kids and but sure enjoyed the break!
