A tiny moment (Colorado baby photographer)

Oh man, I am sucking at keeping up with this blog as much as I would like. I won’t lie to you… I’m totally in survival mode right now with baby #4.

Stretchy pants, cereal for dinner (again), bags under my eyes, and an overflowing inbox and laundry basket are all my reality right now.

But when I sit and rock him in the quiet of my bedroom and smell his perfect baby scent, it seems like the world stands still for just a tiny moment.

To my clients: Thank you for being patient with me as I try to get your blog posts, images and orders finished.

Miss Scarlett ~ Colorado Springs birth photographer

One of the main reasons I went to Nevada last week was to see this brand new little munchkin. Her Mama and I are close friends and were both pregnant with baby #4. We will both have 3 boys and one girl but in reversed order. Miss Scarlett was very much anticipated as the first girl after 3 boys and we all swooned over her. I promise you, she will not have a shortage of pink clothes and accessories. She is already a diva! I got to snuggle her lots and also see a glimpse of what my life will look like with 4 kids in October. It was LOVELY! I did other sessions in Nevada that I’ll be showing you over the next few weeks too.

This session was postponed once due to me being deathly ill but we finally got to see little Miss Olivia. You can tell where she gets her beauty from because her Mama is GORGEOUS!

It’s so not fair that she looks that amazing right after having a baby. That will NOT be the case with me. Never has been.

Anyhoo, I love the pic of her little feet sticking up in the air because that’s what they wanted to do during the entire newborn session.

This session was taken in my home and I am LOVIN’ the lighting I was able to find!

I think I’ve found my natural-light studio…in my dining room!

Peaches n’ cream ~ Colorado Springs birth announcements

This little munchkin has the prettiest skin which is why I had to title it “peaches n’ cream.” Her skin is just so peachy and creamy. She’s a feisty one though. Her Mama and I laughed at how she absolutely refused to be posed even though she was only a week old. I’m just always amazed at how different every baby that I photograph is. They each come with their own agenda.

Remember these baby portraits that were displayed in this adorable nursery? Well, now he is a big brother! His new brother is the last of 7 kids! That’s DOUBLE what I have now. I am always in awe of mothers who can gracefully handle more than 3 kids but this Mama does.
