When I was visiting my Mom this summer, I discovered this gorgeous vintage quilt she had and begged her for it.  I’m so glad she gave in because I LOVE how it looks with this little girl’s adorable Matilda Jane dress.  This brother and sister were SO obedient that I couldn’t even use reverse psychology on them.  I’d say to them in a teasing tone, “Don’t smile. Doooon’t do it,” and by george, they would do what I said and not smile.  (Shees, I wish my kids were that obedient!) I was still able to get some great expressions from them though.

I won’t lie to you–towards the end of the summer there, I was counting down the days.  I sure love my kids but life is just better for all of us when we all have a routine and aren’t in each other’s faces.

I can’t believe how big they are getting!  In fact, when I went to pick them up from their first day, I looked straight at my son and thought, “huh, my son has that same exact shirt” because I didn’t even recognize him for a split second.  Yikes! Now it’s just me and my 3 year old chillin’ together during the day and even he is starting preschool next week (one where a bunch of moms, including myself, take turns teaching).

She told me that she is a “teenager stuck in a kids’ body”!  She is an old soul so I kind of agree.  Obviously she liked her new outfit! Such a poser.

The Easy Accounting Solution allows you to manage your customer database, keep track of your jobs, produce invoices, keep track which products are selling the most/least, and track income, expenses, assets and liabilities. There is also a tab for having a detailed checkbook, tabs for tracking major tax deductions, and one that lets photographers know how their business is doing overall on a month-to-month basis.

Now I know that this is all a lot of left-brain stuff for us photographers but knowing your numbers is SO important to running a successful business. So if you don’t want to use this software, you could always hire a bookkeeper to utilize it for you.
